CHAPTER 27Jasper lay on his white floor, his shoulders shaking with laughter while Abby struggled to get her own laughter under control. She hadn't expected the joke to have quite that reaction. Actually, she hadn't thought about it at all, it popped out, and the result was Jasper collapsed on the floor again. Except this time he had been laughing and every time he started to recover he collapsed back to the floor. Abby looked up at the big windows that made up the wall facing the beach. It had started raining again, and it looked dark outside. The sight of the rain dampened her laughter as Jasper stirred beneath her hand. He pushed himself up onto his elbows as his chuckles died away. He looked up at her.
