With amused and slightly apologetic smiles at one another, we trade places and I step outside the door to answer the call.
“Hello, Mr. Red, I just wanted to check in and let you know that the s****l harassment claim that we were discussing has been completely covered. The ex-employee will no longer be a problem.”
“Thank you.” I'm appreciative of everything my lawyer does, but right now he's one of the last people I want to be talking with.
