Alvia's POV I recognise this smell, that mild antiseptic mixed with a little bit of vanilla fragrance. I open my eyes wondering where the smell came from. The room is unduly lighted giving me a burning sensation as I blink my eyes open. I close my eyes back involuntarily and open it again after a few seconds, this time I am ready for the light. The room is absolutely devoid of any sound. The silence is broken by tiny beeps and drops. I lay on the bed confused on how I got here. The last thing I remember is laughing with Sara. The room is painted white all through with large window directly opposite where I laid. I attempt to move but my muscles feel like jelly. I could barely move my toes. Why can't I move?
