"Who are you people?" Alexander's hands came over her chest defensively.
"Are you okay King?" Finn yelled from the driver's seat, "I told you this one would be a hard nut to crack."
"That was quite the punch." King sat up ignoring Finn's remark, "I see the rumors were true."
In a short while rumors about her had spread, Alexander wasn't shocked she was just a bit curious.
"What do the rumors say?"
He laughed, in a low yet spooky manner. "They say you're a trouble magnet."
"We're here!" Finn announced as the van came to a stop.
King alighted from the van and Alexander reluctantly did the same. The van speed off Immediately her feet touched the ground leaving them both alone.
Facing them was a glass house with men holding guns standing in front of the gate. From the thick atmosphere Alexander could tell she had walked into another mafia territory, she trailed behind king carefully keeping her guard up.
Alexander was not prepared for what happened next.
A middle aged woman rushed her in a hug the minute she stepped foot in the house.
"You must be Alexander." She pulled from the hug with a smiling face.
Alexander replied with a brief nod feeling uncomfortable from the hug. Her eyes trailed down and she realized the woman's chiffon top had been stained with her blood.
"I'm sorry-" she went to apologise but was hushed mid way.
"Relax it's just blood." The woman brushed it off casually.
"He looks just like his father." A masculine tone interrupted causing them both to look up. A white haired old man limped towards them.
Alexander struggled to keep her anger at bay, she took no pride whatsoever in being the offspring of a tyrant, he was merely a man that killed her mother, in plain words a murder.
"Pardon my rudeness but who are you people?" She questioned taking a step back.
"What a dumbass." King snickered from behind causing Alexander to glare at him.
"No need to be scared." The woman grabbed her hands and gave a light squeeze. "We're your father's friends."
On the back of her palm was a coiled snake tattoo that Alexander could recognize as the mark of the bellaforce a deadly mafia. Taking a mere look at them she could already guess their identities, it would be in her best interests to stay calm and see what they're up to.
Regardless of whether or not they saved her life, trusting another man is a don't do in the mafia rule book, if you're not careful it could cost you your life.
"What? Found another stray cat?" A teenage looking girl strolled into the room with her hands folded.
"Language Ariel." Rosalie scolded.
"I forgot to add the last part." Ariel said moving close to Alexander as she soaked in her looks, "this cat is quite pretty."
She then turned to King, "Where'd you get it from."
Rosalie couldn't help but laugh at her daughter's humor, " hunny that's Ismael's little baby." She informed.
"The new captain?" Ariel questioned having heard the rumors and Rosalie nodded.
"Why then does he look like this?"
"I'll take a guess." King interrupted, "Caden's responsible, Lucas might be a wolf in sheep's clothing but he wouldn't go this far."
"You're correct son." Lorenzo gave him a pat on the back. "I sent some men to look into it and they reported that it was Caden."
"It hasn't even been up to twenty-four hours, Ismael hasn't even been laid to rest yet." Rosalie shook her head, "what a wicked man."
"I have an idea!" Ariel spoke up gaining everyone's attention.
"We all want Alexander to successfully take over the ship right?"
Everybody nods except King.
"I don't really care." He shrugs.
"And according to mafia rules.." Ariel continued.
"One cannot involve themselves in the internal struggles of another mafia without belonging to that ship.."
"When did you get so smart my daughter." Lorenzo praised.
"You guys broke a rule tonight and you'll be penalized if caught."
Lorenzo's smile vanished in an instant.
"But don't be scared, you have me here.."
"I bring you the solution to our problems, a marriage between Alexander and Ariel." She proposed.
What an insane family.
Alexander couldn't hide her shock, she coughed audibly.
"Hear me out." Ariel defended, "with a marriage binding us together, your position as captain will be secured and no one would dare raise a finger at you I mean don't you know who my parents are."
Lorenzo nodded agreeing with his daughters words. "Well said."
Rosalie eyed Alexander like a piece of meat, "what do you think about my daughter?" Her tone was soft yet had a dark vibe to it.
Alexander knew she was being cornered, frankly it didn't matter what she thought about the little girl. She appeared like a spoilt rat one who would pester her parents until she eventually got her way and in this case she seemed to have the upper hand.
"I think she is quite beautiful."
That wasn't a lie, Ariel was indeed a beauty.
"What do you say about getting married?" Questioned Rosalie.
"You don't have to rush in to it, you can get engaged first and then take some time to know each other before tying the knot."
Alexander's plan was simple, revenge.
She lost her mother from a young age and spent her teenage years trapped in the mafia all because of a man that was supposed to be her father.
Now he was no more and she is suddenly expected to take charge of the same ship that crushed her mother to death. Ismael would have been better off letting Caden be his successor.
Although evil Caden wanted the ship to himself meaning he would treasure it as long as it belonged to him.
Alexander on the other hand wanted Ismael to pay for his sins, death wasn't enough she would have him watch from his grave the ship he sacrificed so many lives to protect get wrecked in the hands of a woman.
"I have no objections." She smiled obviously fake.
This was only the first step to achieving her goals.
"Yay." Ariel squeaked like a three year old. "You're my fiance now." She said pridefully.
"Welcome to the family." Lorenzo threw her a light pat on the back.
"We're happy to have you here."
