2- I don't do men

1165 Words
When Alexander was a kid she was constantly on the run with her mother. Romina never disclosed to her daughter about who or what they were running from, rather she disguised her as a boy. Alexander didn't know what it felt like to be a girl, all her life she was raised as a boy. "Remember the day you reveal your identity is the day you die." Romina would always say to the twelve year old. Young Alexander didn't understand the reason why back then but it was starting to come together now. "Mother." A single tear slid down Alexander's eye as she regained consciousness. "You're awake." Luca's brash tone graced her ears. He was seated at the farther end of the room while Alexander laid on a king sized bed. "So this is why you guys killed my mother." She rose from the bed angrily. "The order didn't come from me." Lucas didn't deny the allegations, "it came from Ismael himself." "And now he wants me to rule his empire." She laughed hysterically, "are you not scared I'll wreck this ship." Lucas stood up from his seat and advanced towards Alexander in heavy dangerous steps. "I'd love to see you try." "All hail captain Alexander." Alexander said mimicking his tone earlier, "was it all a dream?" "There's still a lot you don't know." He came to a stop several steps ahead of Alexander and next he grabbed her hair forcing her to look up at him. She struggled to break his hold to no avail. "Listen up you brat I don't care if you're Ismael's kid without me you'd still be whiling away in that rotten basement receiving orders like a hunt dog.." "I put you on this bed you're laying on right now and I can very much get you off it, in the blink of an eye you know.." "If I were you I wouldn't aspire to be anything more than a silly playboy." "You mean a puppet." Alexander interjected and he smirked. "Bingo." "When I say bark, you go woof woof.." "Now go on and bark for me." His hold on her hair remained firm and rather than bark like she had been ordered to she spat in his face. A slap sent her flying across the pillow. Alexander wanted to fight back but she knew she didn't stand a chance, Lucas probably had his men positioned everywhere ready to beat her to a pulp and drag her back would she try anything silly. "Stay here quietly and get familiar with your new role as a fool because that's all you'll ever get to be from now on." He stepped away and headed for the exit leaving Alexander with a burning cheek. Soon as he was gone she collapsed on the bed with a million unanswered questions playing through her head. Ten years ago her mother was shot to death in her presence and she was kidnapped into the mafia, thrown into a pack of wolves and left to fend for herself. At first she was weak and was constantly being bullied then she learned to take a hit and dish one. In no time she became a well known respected trouble maker but the only thing Alexander yearned for was freedom. A faint noise snapped her from her thoughts, instinctively she looked to the side, standing by the window was a dark figure wearing a black mask. Alexander rolled off the bed quickly and lunged for her attacker. The masked man dodged Alexander's punch, he flipped out a dagger and dug it into her shoulder from behind causing her to cry out in pain. In one swift action she pulled out the bloodied dagger and held it up against the attacker as if daring him to make a move. He gladly took the bait racing towards her like a cheetah, Alexander knocked the edge of the dagger into his skull and he passed on the floor unconscious. As if on cue the door flipped open and more men in masks poured in. She knew she couldn't put up a fight not with her wounded shoulder so she ran for the window the men tried to stop her by firing several shots and she managed to evade all but one which grazed past her arm but that did not deter her from throwing herself out the window. With both her shoulders bleeding she fell to what was supposed to be her doom but was met with surprise when a strong pair of arms engulfed her wounded body. Her savior's face was shielded with a mask but his hard rock eyes glittered like sapphires in the dark. He swirled her around like a baby and next they were whisked into a van speeding off into the night. "That was smooth eyy." Praised the driver, a boy in his early teens. "Eyes on the road Finn." Mr savior said in a stern tone while Alexander stared at him like an artifact in a museum. "I don't do men." He met her curious gaze. "Don't care, didn't ask." She looked away pretending to be uninterested. "That's a rude way to talk to someone who just saved your life." "Really? Well I don't remember asking you to save me." "Turn the car around Finn." "To where?" Asked Finn "The mael's we're returning this ungrateful brat." Alexander's ears perked on hearing that, "fine!" Both hands flew up in defeat, "thank you for saving my life savior." She said sarcastically but it seemed to do the trick as mister saviors eyes pictured a smile. In a swift movement he ripped the mask from his face. "Now that's more like it." Alexander blinked back stunned by the beautiful man seated across her. He had a jawline carved to perfection along with bold facial figures that suited him perfectly. "Why do you look at me like that?" He raised a brow. "Nothing," she blinked away shyly. He was the first and only man to make her act this way, prior to this Alexander didn't know she could feel attraction towards that gender. He looked at her skeptically but decided to drop it as his eyes roamed through her body. "We should get you treated first." He whipped out a first aid kid from a corner and drew closer to her. His hands were merely inches away from her chest when she swatted it away. "What do you think you're doing?" She questioned defensively. "Relax, we need to get you undressed first before treating your wounds." Undressed? Her eyes almost bulged out of their sockets. "No thanks I'm fine." She lied but he refused to buy it. "How can you be fine when you're bleeding all over." "Don't be shy now, we're all men.." he trailed. Without warning he placed his hand on her chest to undo her buttons and next thing he knew her fists sent him flying to the other side of the vehicle. "Don't you touch me."
