Self-Control

Like I thought Easton’s house was impressive, gated and guarded like it was the white house. Everything about this man screamed bad guy yet people around us were fooled by his hot bod and handsome face. He wrapped everyone around his finger and did it with that charming smile. I didn't understand why he wanted to see me, we made out and then he left and his people came over a few hours later to clean up. This was handled and we had no reason to meet up again. Everything about this day was weird and unsettling. “Come on, Mr. Dehn is waiting.” The driver who was very impatient pointed out. He held the door open, giving me a pointed look. He wanted me to get out of his car yet I stayed seated, just staring at him. He sighed, “He is grateful for your help, this is nothing serious.” He assured me. “Are you telling me to trust him?” I asked the impatient well-dressed man. A smirk played on his lips, “Never trust Easton Dehn.” He warned me, “Tonight though, you’re safe.” I undid the seatbelt and climbed out of the car if the man told me not to trust Easton he was a good guy. Probably. Serena knew where I was so if something did happen I'd be safe. At least I hoped. The man closed the door, locked his car and started to walk to the front door. I followed after him, trying to keep up with his long strides. He opened the front door and gestured for me to head inside. “We might see each other again later tonight.” “Might?” I asked, “You need to take me home after this.” I reminded him. The look in his eyes made my cheeks heat up. There was no way I'd be staying the night at this place. Sure, Easton, had his tongue shoved down my throat earlier today but I'd call it the heat of the moment. That would never happen again. He was still the asshole who made his little brother break-up with me. I was grateful for it now since it did show me that Alex had no balls whatsoever. But he also kidnapped me and threatened me in an abandoned warehouse. His p***s would come nowhere near my v****a. “Sure.” Impatient well-dressed man muttered. I pointed at him, “I’ll see you in a bit.” I said almost threateningly which made the man laugh. “Okay, head inside, Miss Miller.” Doing as told I stepped into the mansion, being greeted by an older man wearing a fancy suit as well. The man had a harshness to him, his eyes cold and his lips pressed to a firm line. “Mr. Dehn awaits you in the dining room.” He informed me monotonously, “Please, follow me.” Unlike impatient man who apparently did have a sense of humor, I felt like I couldn't joke around when it came to this older man. I felt like he'd knock me out and bury me in the gigantic backyard. No one would ever find me, not even Serena and her army. I remained silent and walked into the dining room. Easton sat at the head of the table, holding a crystal tumbler in hand as he sipped the amber colored liquid. His eyes were gleaming with something dark, something I couldn’t quite describe. "Poppy." He called, that smooth voice of his made my heart skip a beat, "Come take a seat." He gestured to the seat beside him. Not wanting to keep the man waiting I moved to the seat beside him, almost awkwardly settling in the comfy chair. "You look better," I said, my eyes trailing over his face. “I feel better.” He answered, “You did a good job last night.” “It was sloppy.” I knew I didn’t do a good job at all, he had to guide me through it and quietly ensure me that everything was going to be okay, “But considering you’re drinking and receiving guests for dinner I’d say I managed to keep you from bleeding out. So it was an okay job overall.” He chuckled, “I think I understand what Alex liked about you.” My cheeks heated, “W-What?” “I think Alex once mentioned you liked ovenbaked salmon. I asked my chef to prepare it for dinner. Do you want a light red wine to go with it?” I pouted my lips, thinking it over. Making out with this man on my living room couch was also partially due to having a bit too much when I met up with Serena at the wine bar. As I glanced around everything about Easton Dehn and his life screamed filthy rich to me. No doubt he only served the best of the best. How could I say no to expensive wine? I’d never be able to afford it myself. The flower shop was doing well enough for me to rent an okay apartment and do the things I liked such as drinking wine with Serena or shopping for cute clothes. Buying a bottle of wine which probably cost more than my living room couch was out of the question though. "Sounds good to me," I said in a quiet voice. His staff went right to work without Easton even having to say anything. I was impressed at how efficient things were at his household. This place was too big for one person. I knew Alex didn’t like living with his brother. He convinced Easton to let him live on his own. Alex lived in a swanky apartment in the city center. Their parents were enjoying a life of luxury, traveling the world. Alex mentioned that Easton bought the couple a villa in Barcelona. They spend an awful lot of time at their villa too. Those people were living the life all thanks to Easton and his shady business. It didn't sound too bad though. “Consider this me thanking you for your help.” “Salmon and wine is you showing me gratitude?” He narrowed his eyes at me, "I doubt you'd accept anything more from me." “You have that right.” A woman approached the table and placed a glass in front of me. She expertly filled it with a light red which looked pretty amazing in that expensive looking glass. I could have a glass or two without feeling the need to rub my body against a handsome man. I’d finish dinner and head home, then we’d never see each other again. “They’re done at your place.” Easton informed me, “All evidence is gone.” “Why did I have men following me around today?” Easton tried to brush it off but I knew he was lying, “What do you mean? I only arranged a ride for you to work. I owed you that much.” I rolled my eyes at him, “Just tell me if I’m safe or not.” “You’re safe.” He confirmed firmly. “That’s all I need to know.” The staff served dinner and then left us to it. We quietly ate the well-prepared food, everything was delicious and I didn't mind being thanked this way. I finished my first glass of wine and Easton was the one who refilled my glass. “About the promise you made me-“ A scowled, knowing his men not only kept an eye on me but they also snitched on Alex, “Oh, f**k me.” I muttered. “It’s a tempting offer.” I could hear the smile in Easton’s voice, “But the doctor told me I should refrain from too much exercise, I don’t want to pop my stitches after all.” Opening my mouth, I closed it again knowing it would give him another opportunity to tease me. This was a side to Easton I never saw before. Something between us changed yet I didn’t know what changed his attitude toward me. Was it the kiss or the fact that I helped him? “He was the one who came over, I had nothing to do with that. If your people did their job right, they also informed you that I told him to leave right away.” I then looked at Easton, the smirk playing on his lips making me press my thighs together. The way he looked at me left nothing to the imagination. He was undressing me with his eyes. The way he licked his lips reminded me of those lips being pressed against mine last night. I had to bite my lower lip to refrain from moaning. “I know.” He was messing with me, this man was impossible. “You did a good job, all you’ve been doing these days is surprising me.” I shifted in my chair, trying to hide how uncomfortable I felt due to liquid soaking my panties now. “You make it sound like a bad thing.” He knocked back his amber colored drink, “I’m not sure if it’s a good or a bad thing.” I swallowed, tearing my eyes away from him. I shouldn’t feel this way, I had to finish dinner and head home. Mr. Impatient Man would not be right about us. I’d go home after dinner and then I’d avoid Easton Dehn. I had to be strong. I told my lust filled brain that I’d take care of things at home. It had been a while since I pleasured myself but it was a lot safer than exploring things with this man who was filled with sin.
