Eli and Easton awaited us right outside the front door to the mansion. Easton looked like he’d commit bloody murder. Eli looked even scarier. I stayed by the car, my heart racing so fast it made me a bit lightheaded. Jake threw me a reassuring look. “You’ll be okay.” He whispered to me. I narrowed my eyes at him, “What about you?” Eli was nice to me because I was Mrs. Dehn. Jake, however, would get scolded. From the stories, I heard Eli was very strict with his team. I felt bad for dragging Jake into this, but there was no one else I could do this with. I might have called Jake a traitor but to be honest he wasn't. He was a good friend. "I'm sorry," I whispered.
