♣️16 - Result♣️ A few weeks after her audition, she ran into the cafe while I was with Tracey. I hadn't told her about the kiss, or anything to do with Hannah. And the kiss was something I avoided speaking about. She ran in, but as soon as she saw Tracey she slowed down. She stopped in front of us. 'What's up?" I asked. "Nothing... but I have to talk about something, " she said, with an expression which meant that Tracey wasn't included on what she had to say. I looked at Tracey, who raised her eyebrow at me. "I'll be back. Order something, " I told her and lead Hannah into the kitchen. "What is it?" I asked and she handed me an envelope. The Sylvia Young Theater School. "Did you get in?" I asked. "I can't open it... I'm scared that I might not have made it..." "You want me to open it?" I asked, surprised. Lately I had noticed the change in Hannah, especially after her father's death. She wasn't the determined but stubborn girl who dumped Jared and played football with the boys. She wasn't the freckled, smiley person with a chubby smile. She was weak, scared to show the world what she had, especially because the only man who gave her confidence was gone. And I realized that I was the one to give her confidence. I was the one who helped her perform, the one who was going to open her letter. And I wanted it to stay that way. Slowly, I tore the envelope, my clumsy hands creating a mountain range shape in the snowy white paper. I pulled out the neatly folded sheet, and opened it out. My eyes scammed the logo and the introductions to the part that mattered. ...and we are grateful to offer you a place in our school... I looked at her, nervously waiting for me. Her cheeks had sunk in, and she had lost her freckles and playful eyes. She was older. Her father's death aged her. I didn't know her as the younger sister. She was more... And her confidence was weakening, falling, which was why I gave her the letter to read herself. "You know I can't," she said. "You can," I replied, as she nervously took the letter and looked at it. "I got in?" she said. I nodded with a smile, and she unexpectanlty leaped into my arms. "Josh, Thank you so much!" she said. "I never did anything! It was all you," "No... I definitely couldn't have done it without you,"
