*Kya* I could only blink and stare in horrified shock as I slowly digested the words that had just fallen from Elias’ mouth. I blinked rapidly and felt a deranged giggle start to burst from my lips. Perhaps I heard him wrong. There was no way he actually said that. Not only had he lied about what pack he was from but he couldn’t have also told such a huge lie about us being engaged. We hardly knew each other! I must have heard wrong then. I glanced at my parents only to find that their looks of shock matched the level of mine. It was then that I realized I had heard correctly. My parents seemed at a loss as to how to proceed. My mother looked close to passing out, her eyes a bit far away. It was my father who recovered first. I couldn't read any other expression other than shock
