Chapter IVThe Historical Society would present a Christmas gala each year at the manor. They elaborately and painstakingly decorated the entire first floor, room-by-room, in a Victorian mode to display how the Hewitt's themselves might have done the same in their home at a turn-of-the-century holiday season. Adam became thoroughly enamored of this project, his contribution being to present the Hewitt dining room to all visitors.
