The water like flawless glass began at his feet and disappeared in the early morning mist somewhere near the opposite shore. He kneeled at the water's edge moving slowly in the glowing luster of the rising sun. Before him, the wisps on the water's cool surface began to change, to take form. Slowly they took the shape of cherubs, crying for him. They knew it was time. Their soft, beautiful faces streamed with tears that fell to the earth as dewdrops.
