Chapter VIIPreparing Ringwood Manor's first floor, adorning every room to represent the Christmas holiday during the late 1800's, was more hectic than I would have imagined. The initial group of visitors waited anxiously to be let in to begin their tour and admire the beautiful Christmas decor. I have to admit I was impressed with what the local women's club accomplished, embellishing the Manor with such wonderful Victorian flavor. I relented to the spirit of the occasion by agreeing to wear a gray turn-of-the-century servant's outfit someone found me. A bit snug and too short at the pant leg but nonetheless rich in appearance, especially for the atmosphere.
