The next morning, I pace a line in front of Mom and Sash’s apartment building. My throat tightens with worry. No question about it. This situation with Vice is fraying my nerves. For years, I’ve lived by one rule: always deliver for Otto and Konstantin. Sure, I could set up operations, fast and dirty. But, there’s a reason I’m the best—I look into every detail and contingency. Nothing goes wrong because my stuff is bulletproof.
