After I leave the Lucky Ladies, I take a new route to the Nouveau Palais. It means an extra-long train ride, but I want to be sure no one’s following me. Eventually, I march toward the entrance to Vice’s home. Up close, the Nouveau Palais towers higher than I remember. Every inch of red brick is carved with intricate patterns.
