Less than an hour later, I step through the front doors to the House of Music. It’s a classic art nouveau building with lots of lavish murals, faux jade, and swirling lines. I straighten the lapel of my tuxedo and step into the ballroom. There’s no sign of Lexa. Hands down, this is one of the most unhinged things I’ve ever done.
