Chapter 34Matthew's body was well on its way to healing and his vitals remained stable. The sling on his shoulder and the cast on his leg were gone. They finally put a hospital gown on him. He lay unmoving. On Sunday, feeling more desperate than ever, Rachael spent the entire day in his hospital room. “More than two months have passed,” she said to his face. “Come back to me.” She needed to have an active part, do her share in helping him survive. She remembered from her own therapies, when feeling helpless, to do something, anything. Chances are, she'd find the right thing to do. Take that first step.
