Chapter 23Rachael hadn't decided to put Matthew out of her mind. She was curious how he could be attentive one week and then disappear for another two. Trying to keep up with him seemed futile. Then one night, deep in thought about how to solve Hunter and Melissa's new plot dilemma, she decided to give her novel a rest and turned on her cell phone. No one had called. No one ever called except Tina, when she had a day off.
