Cassandra's POV Everything happened in a blur the moment panic hit. I never knew I was this tied to the baby, but the moment I saw the blood dripping down my legs, real fear struck. After running on adrenaline for over an hour I found myself lying face up on a hospital bed in the middle of the night. The hospital room was silent aside from the sound of the air conditioning unit humming. The air smelled like sterile disinfectant and antiseptic.
