Cassandra's POV I forced a polite smile. We just stared at each other for a while. He probably noticed that I wasn't comfortable with the entire situation. "What if this only makes things worse between us?" I asked with a small voice he understood what I meant and there was no way he hadn't thought of it "It had to be done, sunshine." He said he took a step closer, closing the distance between us. He reached for my shoulders. "Priscilla is a teenager, and they can be particularly stubborn, but with time, she will come around." He explained. I didn't say anything in response, and he continued, "Just give her time. If I hadn't put her down like that, none of the staff would understand your importance in this household." I was taken aback. He had used her as an example for everyone.
