The Isekai Game

The Hydra

When the blue creature wedged its spear into the drawbridge, it swam to the far side of the castle. It bowed its face to a ledge. Upon opening its mouth, Dani and Jaivva jumped out unharmed.

"Sorry," said the creature, "This is the closest spot I could find".

"It's okay Nana," said Dani running ahead.

"It's so weird that I can talk to you like this," said Jaivva before running behind Dani.

Nana laughed right when a giant snake bit into her tentacled chin. It smashed her into the castle and ripped away.

Just as Nana was going to swing her giant blue arm a snake bit into it and another bit into her chest.

Seeing that it was a hydra, Nana kicked it away at its torso.

"Naaanaaa!" roared Mike from on top of one of the hydra's heads, "You better be ready for a fight"!

Dani fired a fully charged explosive at the hydra torso. One if its heads took the hit. It popped like a balloon. Blood rain over the three girls.

A snake bit at Nana. She allowed it to bite her left arm and swung with her right. Though it was bitten back by a snakehead, Mike wasn't done.

He weaved a few seals to create a giant bomb in one of his hydra's heads. That head struck right into Nana's midriff.

Jaivva and Dani were running alongside the castle when they heard that loud thud. It felt like that castle itself was going to follow apart.

"He can do that?" asked Jaivva sweating through the pain of sprints.

"Ugh, sometimes".

Nana's body fell into the water. Mike knew she barely had any life left. More importantly, he needed to stop the other two.

They entered a small tunnel which put them out of range of his hydra for quite a bit. Surely he wasn't going to risk it all by going in for an attack on foot.

Instead, he rested his fingers on his head to communicate with the creatures below. After, he came close to the girl's to be next to the show.

They both heard his mouth from inside the tunnel. Dani was ready with her magic pistol while Jaivva held her lightweight machinegun.

"Be ready, he's gonna do something soon," said Dani.

"You sure? I don't sense him building up energy or anything".

"Trust me".

They exited the tunnel and hooked right into an insertion of the castle. Though it was open, the hydra couldn't fit its head into the little U-shaped walkway.

A water lesser struck towards Dani. Jaivva unloaded her machine g*n. The bullets did very little damage. But with so many of them, the lesser died.

Another struck Jaivva's calf to drop her to the ground. Dani fired her g*n to nearly kill the lesser but was overtaken by another one.

Realizing the water creature was only weakened by magic, Jaivva released two lightning birds to attack the two lesser.

Dani avoided being electrocuted just in time to shoot a lizardfolk about to attack Jaivva.

"Run!" yelled Dani.

A lizardfolk slammed its blade into Jaivva. She parried with her machinegun and fired it away.

Dani was shooting at oncoming birds from the stairs so Jaivva could catch up. A lizardfolk jumped at her.

She kept put, allowing Jaivva to jump into the creature and toss it away. With Jaivva now further up, she led Dani to reach the next platform.

Lizard folks were crawling on the ground towards them. Each held a blade in one hand as they sprung towards the girls.

Jaivva kept the lead by firing her machinegun at them. That rattle would burst in the air for less than a minute as she pushed through the swarm of lizard folks. Each time she reloaded, she dropped the magazine away and flipped the next one in.

Dani kept her g*n charged and blew up any lizardfolk that may have used its dead brethren as a shield.

"Yo, f**k this," said Mike as his lizardfolks were carelessly dying.

He slammed his hands onto the hydra's head to charge a fireball in its mouth. When at its peak, he released that fireball as a continuous flame upon the two girls.

Dani shot out a giant ice bomb that exploded a fair distance away into a glacier. It blocked the fire from coming anywhere near them. However, that same glacier limited them from seeing Mike. Jaivva stood right behind her, firing at the lizardfolks when her machinegun clicked.

"We need to hurry," said Dani looking up.

"What else can he do? By the way, I'm empty," said Jaivva as she led Dani up a spiraling stone stairwell with two assassin blades in hand.

Dani panted her way up the stairs, "He's a multiclasser".

"What does that mean?" asked Jaivva as she exited the stairwell and cut through a cockatrice.

"It means like-" Dani fired another ice bomb into the air to cancel out a giant fireball being hurled by Mike.

"Damn he doesn't stop!" said Jaivva as she ran Dani onto a platform.

Dani hopped on and activated the platform to take them to the other side of the U-shaped walkway. It gradually took them across to a higher level. There were already a few creatures waiting for them.

"So basically he specializes in many classes. He's a summoner, ninja, spellblade, bomber, tank, knight, and a whole bunch of s**t," said Dani.

"Damn. Just like Logan".

"Logan used to be a multiclasser. The difference between a multiclasser and somebody who keeps switching their job class is that a multiclasser is actually proficient in their many different classes".

"Wow. I take it that's too much studying for Logan, ain't it?" asked Jaivva now exiting the platform.

Dani fired another ice bomb at Mike's attack, "Exactly".

Jaivva sent a few small lightning birds to attack the flying cockatrices. Dani was keeping an eye on Mike. But he seemed to only be watching them at this point. 

Easy enough, they got through to the tunnel. It was dark in there as the last one. Dani was prepared for Mike to cook them in there.

Instead, they exited to a large stone floor with many lizard fol on it. Mike stood on a hydra's head mocking them for their measly attempt to break the crystal barrier.
