The Tower

The trio spoke to the groom at the front desk. He was shocked that his own fiance tried to kill him. Jeff informed him she is manipulating time in her favor with an accomplice. The groom couldn't think of anybody else. The husky black-boy named Andres walked into a catholic church. There were many windows. Each one was colorful, yet disfigured. There was an odd one on the stage. It was on the wall and larger than a highway billboard indeed. Its colors were dark with the lady's eyes wide open with a screaming mouth. Andres walked up to the window on the stage, watching as its eyes followed him. He called in to report his findings to Jeff. "Wait a second," said Logan, "Was anybody a Catholic who loved fishing and Samurais. Each glitch is likely giving us a clue to the real culprit"? Jeff deduced it all leads to the father-in-law himself. He drove him earlier and listened to him ramble about fishing in Japan. Dani gasped, with her eyes wide and her nose slightly quenched, "The fat man". The room was emitting dark energy from its cracks and crevices in each corner. Reaching out like octopus tentacles, the dark energy dragged in each guest by crushing them like empty soda cans. "What is going on," asked the groom. Jeff noticed the dark energy surrounding them. He reassured the groom that they were going to save him by turning back time. The groom trembled as the trio ran outside in pursuit of the bride's father. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Andres slammed his baton into the mirror. The glass shattered with the fragmented shards forming a giant screaming woman from the window. She knocked Andres flying through chairs with his enormous arms. Rising from his back, he brushed away the glass shards and sprinted back towards the stationary window to attack the mirror glitch. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Be careful" said Logan as he stared vigilantly around with cards held in his hand, "We are about to be attacked". Vanessa stood ready with her pole in hand. She was looking in the same direction as Logan. A hunch caused her to cover his blindspot. A black hooded samurai, covered in a dark mist-like aura, slashed at her. She stopped the fatal blow using her pole. The two were knocked from the top of the train. Logan fell on his cards, causing his arm to bleed. The dark samurai rushed down for a fatal attack. Logan jumped away as Vanessa dashed towards the samurai. She swung her pole towards the samurai to which he countered with his sword. Logan threw more cards at the samurai's feet, causing him to nudge. Vanessa smacked her pole against his head. The samurai took the opening to stab Vanessa's stomach. Luckily, Logan threw a card shouting, "Steal". As the card had hit the samurai, his sword fell out of Vanessa's stomach. She kicked the blade towards Logan who aimed it back at the dark samurai. The samurai squared up to Logan as Vanessa was on the ground healing herself. "Get back!" yelled Logan. As he slashed the blade towards the dark samurai an odd symbol appeared that pushed the samurai back just a little. Logan had slashed his sword again yelling "clone" to which several swords had appeared around his opponent. The samurai caught Logan's strike. Right after, Vanessa stabbed the samurai in his lung with a sword clone. The samurai held on tightly to Logan's blade. Logan threw a card, calling out, "Prison". Giant cards were spiraling around the dark samurai to which he knew his end had come. Logan yelled "ex-spell," causing each giant card to shine so brightly that the light pierced through the samurai. The samurai had fallen to the floor exhausting all of his darkness until he was just a laying corpse. The pair was about to jump on top of the train until they realized it didn't have power and darkness was racing towards them. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Jeff, Dani, and Hakim were running around downtown to avoid the darkness from consuming them in hopes that their teammates can turn back time. Refusing to let Hakim slow her down, Dani jumped over him after he fell. She immediately reported the loser is dead before the darkness consumed him. Nobody heard from Andres. His beating from the mirror lady was too great to even relay a sit-report ........................................................................................................................................................... Logan and Vanessa outran the darkness on the tracks heading toward the clock tower. Nothing was heard since Dani's report. No option was left except to turn back time to save everybody. The two had reached the clock tower and began running up the stairs with the darkness was catching up. "Run, I will hold it off. Just hit the back of the clock's hand base to turn back time," yelled Logan facing the darkness. "Okay," said Vanessa as she began hurling up the stairs. Finally reaching the top, she smacked her pole against the clock in every way possible. Nothing changed and the darkness invaded the room. She shivered as it came from every direction into a fatal crash into her skinny body. "Game over. You lose," said the Isekai Gaming System. Vanessa pouted, "That sucks". Her goggles loosened, allowing her to see reality. A big dark room with nothing in it. "Logan!" she called out into the empty room. She left down a stairway, realizing it was the wrong exit. Nonetheless, it was already late. Vanessa returned all of the borrowed equipment at the front desk of the Isekai Gaming Studio and headed out without being able to meet any fellow players. On the public bus, she stared at her player profile on her phone. Her power score was 523 with only 27 player points. Having finished moving to Miami the prior week from Italy, she was excited to have moved next to an Isekai Gaming Studio. There was a lot to think of from her passion for anime, to her new home, her senior year in high school, and of course, will she become a Pro Isekai Game Player.
