A Broke Valentine

He walked away, fading away into the dungeon. Vanessa was left wondering. Is this really a Logan replica? Was she really to face off against him? Was he really a threat of some sort? And just how powerful was he?  The heart was done beating. Pain surged through her head, flashing images of the seven sins dying from the curse. Each powerful yet cried to their demise. Something was wrong. There had to of been some way to beat that guy. And what was the game trying to say? Should she feel more privileged to have her problems presented in riddles? Real-life just comes whereas the game was giving hints.  She smacked her eyes, wishing the images would go away. But the headache continued. These sins she saw, were they replicas? What did they symbolize? The man was in pursuit of a dream? But was he really evil? While crawling for an answer, the heart exploded. Blood spilled across Vanessa, wetting her entire body. She shivered, looking up at the demon that was to kill her. Instead, it wasn't.  Logan stomped through, locking his eyes on her. His nose twitched with every breath.  "Logan," she cried, "It's me. Vanessa".  He knew she wasn't a fake of any sort. Yet his heart was filled with anger that prevented him from responding.  He tossed a card at her, "Release".  The spell that held her powers away was undone. But with Ra dead, she was no longer able to access the power of the sins until she passed their respective courses and studied their abilities. She began healing herself using her monk and astrological connection.  Even then, Logan still didn't say a word. It seemed as though he was her next opponent with the way he walked towards her. Each step calm and full of thought. He must've seen something just as crazy as what she did. Luckily for her, he walked by without a word.  She had hoped for this to be a lovely moment between them. One where he acknowledged her dress and complimented her achievement. She could ask him to be her Valentine and rest knowing that he would gladly accept her given their great times together.  Instead, she watched him walk out the door. Receiving nothing but a cold shoulder. It was clear that they lost. Creatures were tunning wild, eating everything that they can while the land itself was falling apart. She chased after Logan, coming to the conclusion it was probably best to just quit for the day.
