Stones cracked to the trembling from her rear. A quick turn around and there it was a 40-foot Black metal skeletal dragon with a deep purple and black aura swimming throughout its hollow body. Its movements were smooth and steady despite its bulky physique. Even its wings, which spanned over 60-feet wide, flowed up and down like a goose with metal spikes for wing feathers. Claws dug into the pavement whereas its long spiked tail smashed down by the minute.
May it be its appearance that was scary, but that aura surging about like an unearthly power that can't be contained. Worse yet was its confident grin, showing off its fangs.
No doubt, she hauled a*s, pouring every sweat left in her body whereas the dragon prowled, slamming its claws to let off an echo that made Vanessa jump every time.
There was a destroyed building with a hole in its wall. She jumped through, only for the beast to crush it after.
It hovered above, watching her panic for an escape. She knew it was there, lowering its head for a good view.
Vanessa spun, shooting towards its eyes, yet hitting its forehead. The bullet ricocheted to a nearby wall. Not even phasing the dragon from its calm play.
It drew back a claw, an aura coated it like a weapon before it lashed out in a split second.
Vanessa jumped out of the building, falling down a small slope. But the aura still struck in time, burning into her like rust sizzling to her bone.
Yet there was no wound opening. No physical damage was apparent. Her left arm, shoulder, chest, and ribs simply felt dead.
While rolling into the dirt, she dropped her g*n. She kicked a leg to stop herself, enabling her to bite her g*n and sheath her sword.
The dragon paced itself on top of the slope, spanning its wings further out to intimidate her. However, she was already scared to the brim, despite grabbing her dirt-covered shotgun with her right hand.
As the aura focused into its mouth, Vanessa went all out firing her shotgun at its head while walking back. It continued stepping towards, resisting every shot dealt.
Her shoulder felt as though it was falling off. Even her breathing was off-balanced. She tried to run a bit to avoid the blast, but the dragon remained aimed towards her.
She had no shields, little movement, no nearby fixtures, and all attempts to hurt this thing were futile. Come to think of it, she wondered what level this was.
There was one last attempt to beat it. One that caused her to continue firing while coming closer. The dragon smiled openly with a ball of black and purple aura swirling at its mouth.
Once it felt her defeat, it launched that ball straight at her. By watching its jaw and head movements, Vanessa was able to roll right towards it the second before it fired.
She dodged, firing into its mouth to deal no damage.
The dragon screeched into the air, now furious it was made a fool of by a human girl. Before it bit towards her, she fired an ice bullet, covering its eyes with a sheet of frost.
It did nothing to stop it. The dragon could still see clearly. None of her follow-up ice bullets could change this. Not only did its body remain steadily moving, but the aura melted away all of her ice within seconds.
The dragon snapped its head quicker than her eyes could process.
A figure slid to her front, swinging a giant sword. Knocking the dragon's entire face away, the figure swung a second time and ran in for a downward swing, bring the dragon's head into the dirt.
The man dragged its head closer as his own body glowed with a bright aura that surpassed the foe's. It was here that he drew his sword up to hammer down through its neck.
Its metal exoskeleton was dented from that first strike. But before Vanessa could realize that, she saw her former opponent waled his sword into the dragon until its thick neck finally tore off.
The man swung his sword onto his back as though it didn't have weight. Vanessa Knew that swing. Those monstrous strikes that left Jaivva bruised throughout all of Christmas. His muscles were clearly visible through his uniform. It was the half-elf General R'bi.
