The next few days passed in a blur. We organised the party with Lord Tumlus and the people of the village. We sold my extra clothes and bought clothes and shoes for the children in the orphanage and spent an afternoon there with the children. The twins came to stay on the Wednesday night, they were so excited to be staying in the hotel that they hardly slept all night! The maids found them adorable and the footmen enjoyed their childish humour. Mama and I went shopping for the new family house, we had it decorated and furnished in less than a day! Mr Avital and I had a lovely tea delivered to his house from the sweet shop in town on Friday lunchtime before the party. ‘Caireann, I’ve never seen anyone so full of life as you are pet. It brings my heart joy to know you’ve found happiness
