Lyra's POV The moment the bedroom door closes behind us, Cassian has me by the arms. He backs me into the wall—not painfully, but firmly—and kisses me like he’s been dying for it. He probably has. I know I have. I run my hands over his shoulders and down his back, feeling the way his muscles ripple beneath his skin. It’s so satisfying. I love the way he feels.
