Is this what happily ever after feels like? I wonder as I drive the twins back to Jacks or Better. The idea is kind of scary even if it feels...right. I turn down the winding drive and amend the question: Is this what happily for right now feels like? I think it over, searching myself for any signs of panic and not finding...anything.
Well, anything except a bunch of stupid smiles because now I’m thinking about Aiden again and grinning like an i***t. It’s been a week since we decided to go public—and by ‘public’ I mean we told the twins we were dating.
“Good,” Bridget had said, digging back into her pancakes like it wasn’t a big deal. Honestly? I’d expected more of a reaction.
