CHAPTER 29 | Parker –––––––– Definitely pissed, I think, anxiety winding the base of my spine tight and then tighter. I catch myself mentally flailing around for whatever I’ve done and I come up with...nothing. Stop it, I tell myself. You haven’t done anything. If he’s mad about sending the twins to bed before he got home, he should’ve been home hours ago. Sadly though my anxiety doesn’t respond to orders, and the pit in my stomach grows as Aiden disappears down the hallway. “I’ll be right back,” he says. “Want to check on the twins.” I nod, leaning one hip against the counter.
