Chapter 9Ciar glared at Tatwulf through the crowd. He was snorting and making comments about how stupid and worthless humans were throughout the entire time Romeo read. He kept it low, so Romeo didn’t hear him, but some—mostly wolves—were nodding at him.
By the time Romeo reached the end of the chapter, he was ready to tear through the crowd and bite Tatwulf. If he didn’t want to hear the story, he didn’t have to come here. Others wanted to listen without having him comment on how dumb the female human in the book was. Ciar might not call her smart, but what would a kitten or pup do if they didn’t have a sense of smell?
