Chapter 14Ciar swallowed a growl as Romeo threw open the door to the cleaning closet and tugged at the trapdoor to the basement.
As he rushed down the narrow stairs, Ciar followed.
“They’re here!” Romeo more or less hugged the boxes with the books. “They’re here.” The way his voice quivered had Ciar silently vow to gut someone.
“We need to hide them.” He turned wide eyes at Ciar. “Only you, Draven, Humbert, and Thano know there are boxes of them, right?”
