Boys are jerks

Aaron's POV I walked back into the diner ignoring the confused look on Damon's face. I walked back to the booth where Dean and Dani were playing chubby bunny with some grapes. Where they managed to get grapes are beyond me. "Hey where's Rosie?" Chris asked looking away from the "Intense" game. She sighed and shook her head and put her phone down to turn my way. "What did you say bro?" Jared caught on and was waiting for an answer. I looked back at the table where Damon and Rosie's dad were sitting, only to see Rosie's dad get up and take his leave. "Aaron what happened dude?" Jared asked once more. "Nothing." i said through gritted teeth. "Uh huh sure." Chris said under her breath but at least they left me alone. I got up and strolled out of the diner. Leaving the group behind. Jared followed me outside as i was getting on my bike to leave. "Dude what happened?" He pestered. "Why does it matter? cant you just drop it already?" "Nah bro, because after you came back inside your whole mood changed. Either she said something that pissed you off or you said something and you're reflecting back on it." "And how would you know? s**t quit being a nosy a*s pest and just leave me be." Jared had a bored expression on his face. He's used to my insults so it doesn't bother him. "Whatever bro, just remember that she is the one that will either make or break you. And now that i look at it, she will be the best thing to ever happen to you. But will also break you. " I revved the engine to life and sped out of the parking lot. I went to the cliff and just sat there for hours. I contemplated on mine and Rosie's last conversation. Of course i felt bad but at the same time he was being difficult. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and turned it on. Almost instantly text messages and missed calls appeared. I rang for dean. It rang once before he answered all freaked out which alarmed me. "Aaron! bro where have you been? Bro you will never believe who i just saw.." "Slow down dean. whats going on?" " Dray. He's Back" I hung up and got on my bike and sped back towards town. ============================================================================== Rosie's POV "Is everything alright Baby girl? You've been quiet since we left the diner" "Yeah, everything's fine dad." My dad nodded and left it at that. It annoyed me that I wasn't able to say what I wanted to say. I Hated That Only he could leave me speechless. I hurried into the house, ignoring my dads call. I needed to vent and there was only one way to do that. ========================== Aaron's POV "Well What Are You waiting for?!" I Heard dean yelling, s**t Dean was So Freaking Loud That I'm pretty sure people in China can hear him. There was no reason for someone to That Loud. Ever. "Dean for the last time You Ain't goin"  I opened the door to see Damon Stressed and Dean Acting Like a 5 year old. Grabbing Damon's leg to prevent him from leaving. "Aaron! There you are, we gotta go bro." "So I'm guessing you heard." I stated and that lead to Damon giving me a "What Are You Stupid?" Look plastered on his face. "Bet, But What About Dean? "  Damon Looked Down At our kid brother and contemplated on where to leave him since he knew this situation was serious, let alone it can turn dangerous real quick. "Let me call Kaleb. Maybe he might have you stay for tonight." Kaleb? Which Kaleb was he talking about? "Hold up, which Kaleb you Talking About?" I asked curiously then I was hoping he wasn't talking about "Rosie's dad" s**t now all of a sudden I Dont Wanna Go With Damon. "What am I? 5? I don't need a babysitter" "What Are You Talking About? Kalebs Coming With. So since he doesn't want Rosie knowing you are gonna keep each other company" "Okay-No!" Dean And Damon gave me a knowing look. Causing me to roll my eyes. "No? I thought you didn't care about her"  Dean mocked "Shut Up Dumb a*s," "Shut Up Dumb a*s" "BOTH OF YOU SHUT UP! f**k, You Guys act like 3 year olds!." I can sense deans eyes on me with a smirk plastered across his face. "Now Since Kaleb Knows about Dray and his family we really have to go. Even though Kaleb and I weren't friends in High School we have a common enemy."  "I gotta text Rosie and let her know."  "No time! move!"  I already found myself wanting to dip out hella quick. Damon wont know i left I think ============================================================================ Rosie's POV I have been cooped up in my bathroom for a good hour. My dad was starting to get worried. My dad can be a little oblivious sometimes but he did value privacy. So He hasn't once come upstairs to see if i was okay. As long as i replied to his messages then he knows i am okay. Well physically. I couldn't really bring myself to cut today. I was already drained physically and emotionally. Dad  finally came in to check up on me.  Although my dad enters and well im no stranger to my dads fashion sense. He dresses up like a bad boy. Leather Jacket and converses.  Its not fun when college girls or even high school girls check him out. They think i am his little sister. but anyways we are getting off topic. "Hey baby girl. Is everything okay? You haven't seemed like yourself since we left the diner"  I contemplated on telling my dad about what Aaron and I were talking about but i decided against the idea.  "Yeah. Just a bit tired really." My dad obviously didn't believe me but he seemed to be in a hurry. Which causes me to be a little nosy. "Going somewhere dad?" I dont know why but is it just me or do adults have the dumbest looks on their faces when you hit them with a question that they should know is coming but always pretends that its too difficult of a question? I actually dont know what i was just thinking but oh well!  "Um just some business i gotta take care of baby, I should be home late but in the meantime i invited someone to keep you company. Just when i was about to ask my phone dinged.  "Hey Rosie. It's Dean. Open the door" =========================================================================== "So can i ask you why you are here?" I really wasn't in the mood to deal with anyone from school right now especially not HIS brother. "To keep you company you silly billy!" he said as he tapped my nose causing me to semi flinch. "Rosie i know you are old enough to take care of yourself but i just moved in this neighborhood and well you know your dad has trust issues and well so far I trust that Dean will keep you out of trouble. Unless he gives me a reason not to."  "No worries Mr.White, Rosie and I will behave. I have the whole night planned of movies and junk food!" Dean said confidently. "Alright now call me if anything happens Rosie." He quickly glanced at dean who was busy looking at the photos of me and my dad around the wall. "Anything" He stated firmly. He gave me a kiss on the forehead and grabbed his keys and he was out the door in no time. "So why are you really here dean?" "Your guess is as good as mine sweet cheeks" "Dont call me that." "Anything for you Ro" "Alright, What do you wanna do?" Dean asked as he plopped down onto the sofa. "I dont know, you're the one that convinced my dad that we had a "Fun" filled night ahead of us."  "Touche"  "You hungry? I was about to make some Lasagna "  "I could eat."  Dean followed me into the kitchen and was kept to himself majority of the time.  If anything he was more focused on his phone than anything else. "So rosie, i know this is none of my business but what exactly did you and Aaron talk about earlier today at the Diner." "Nothing special." "Well his whole mood seem to be off and then shortly after he came in your dad left, it didn't take a genius to figure out that something happened between the two of you."  I was really debating on whether i should even tell him but he seemed trustworthy and he really hasnt given me a reason to not trust him, If anything he was one of the few people that actually talked to me and held a conversation without asking about my status. So why not. "Remember our talk in the library with chris?" "Yeah? what of it?" "Well Aaron saw that i was kind of ignoring you guys the rest of the week and confronted me and i told him that i didnt want you guys to get mixed up with me because it will get lonely and depressing. and well in the end he told me to just have fun spending the rest of my high school life being a loser" "So can i ask why?" "Why what?" "Why do you let yourself believe that you're not worthy of anything?" "People tell me. You know my status, everyone knows and well when you get mixed up with the wrong crowd that shows you the smallest amount of attention and you finally believe that you have found a group that will love you for more than just the status above your head, then later show their true colors. You tend to lose all hope for anything and everything." Dean took in everything i was saying and even though my mind was telling me to pretty much shut up and not say anything else. Something about Dean gave off a best friend and brotherly vibe that was pretty irresistible.  "Wanna know a secret?" "What?"  "I know someone that has a crush on you."  "Who?" "That's for me to know and for you to find out." The lasagna was finally done cooking and Dean and i sat at the sofa, turning on some good old fashion Gordon Ramsey on TV. "You know i am actually glad that you told me that today. If you ever need to vent i got you, I am your friend"  "I appreciate that Dean. I really do."  "You're Welcome Rosie. And besides Boys are jerks" He was spot on but he also did make me laugh.  "Indeed" He threw me a warm smile and we put our focus back on the TV. Then suddenly the doorbell rang. I forced myself to get up and walk towards the door, taking a quick look at the old grandfather clock that read 1:20 in the morning. Who could it be?  i thought. I opened the door to see Aaron standing there. Must to my dismay i was a little slow in shutting the door so i couldn't get the right effect of slamming the door in his face.  "Can i help you? Did you come and check up on Dean or something?" "What is he 5? He's a big boy doesn't need me to check up on him. But while im at it. Dean! you good bro?"  "Just peachy!" I hear dean yell from the living room.  "Look i didn't come here to check up on dean. I came here in hopes that i can talk to you." I hear dean clear his throat causing both Aaron and i to look at him.  "Alone. Please" Dean was just being annoying in the back whistling, You aint slick! is what i thought. "Fine lets go out here." I sat down at the swing and waited for what Aaron had to say.  "I am sorry. For what i said earlier today."  "That's it?"  "Well i would like for us to start over. Fresh clean slate. Hi my name is Aaron. And You?" "Aaron i cant just forget everything that happened and start fresh. In case you haven't noticed that since day 1 you alone have been an emotional roller coaster for me and to just blantly say that we should start fresh doesn't really erase everything that has happened. Even if you forget it. I cant. "  I was being honest. I always have been honest with him. But in the short while that i have known him he has given me more mixed signals than my mom on her "Special Moon days"  "Then what do you want to do Rosie?" "For now. Drop the act. Start by showing your true self and maybe. Just maybe then i can actually get to know you for you. Not the front that you put out on a daily."  "I will if you will"  "What's that suppose to mean?" "What i just said. It's pretty self explanatory"  Wow! i thought. This guy was worse than i thought. At least after everything. I wasnt the only one who thought that.  "BRO!"  I see an angry Dean coming out the house, he also probably thought what Aaron said was horrible. "Damn bro, Rosie was right. You are a jerk. Cmon rosie Let's go inside."  "Goodnight Aaron"  I walked back into the house ignoring my name being constantly called I closed the door behind me and i didnt care if Dean saw but i couldnt hold it anymore. I cried like i always did. And Dean was there all night wiping them away.
