Scarlet’s POV
Mark meets Julie in Kiran’s room as Simon and I head to his office to meet Elder Samuel and his parents. I’m nervous as I’ve heard some not great things about the elders but I have yet to meet them yet. I sit on Simon's lap at his desk and wait patiently.
She’s going to be so surprised.
“Did you say something babe?” I pull back and look at him.
“Huh? Me? No?” He tilts his head in curiosity.
“Sorry, thought I heard something.” Just as he was about to speak again, there is a knock at the door.
“Come in.”
In walks Doug, Lena and another person I can only assume is Elder Samuel. Simon goes to stand but I don’t move. I eye the man suspiciously getting a feel for his demeanor. I want to know how he reacts to the disrespect of us not standing. His aura never shifts
