Lena, Marie and I are still in Scarlet's temporary office gushing over our little meeting with Scarlet. The way that things end up working out is always amazing. Lena and I are talking about how much Simon deserves this when Marie speaks up.
"I was never going to get a mate, you know. Our wolf spirits are what drives us to our mate and me not having one. I knew that wasn't in the books. I was going to get to watch everyone around me find this perfect happiness and I never would. I have Tom, and Tom, obviously, since he's here dealing with all of this, is amazing.
