"Were you really that scared of the marquis? Did you, by any chance had to meet him outside the academy and offend you?" Ever since the two had come out of the bushes and headed to Alex's room, Yulian had been bombarded by these kinds of questions. "For the nth time, I'm not afraid of him or anyone. I had just acted on impulse earlier." "So, you're afraid of him." He rolled his eyes and halted his steps, they stopped at the corridors of the second floor. He reached for the collars of this persistent man and tried to pull him closer. But he had forgotten that the other was a head taller than him and had not calculated his strength. So instead of pulling the other to him, Yulian stumbled and almost throw himself at Alex. While Alex's hands prepared to catch him. He ignored those hands wrapped around his waist to steady him and the embarrassment resulting from his actions. Hands still gripped tightly on Alex's collar, he raised his chin high, he glared at him. "I. AM. NOT." "Pft..." "Are you laughing?!" Alex held the laughter in as shook his head. But the visible shaking of his shoulders made Yulian furious. He never felt insecure with his height but at this moment. "You're making fun of me." Alex shook his head again and successfully stopped himself from laughing out loud. "I am not." He imitated. A hand raised by Alex interrupted Yulian in making another retort. "You have leaves on your hair." His hand-picked carefully picked one left at a time like he has all the time in the world. Yulian got momentarily speechless and lets the prince do what he wants. In any way, he's didn't know why but he's enjoying the beautiful view in front of him. "Done." Alex looked down and gave him an enchanting smile. "You also have some on your hair. Let me help." Yulian was about to do the same when a loud entered their ears. "I told you my father had left! But he - !" Mohawks stared dumbly at the two figures who almost had one body. His friend at his side also did not know what to do at the scene before them. Thankfully, one of their dorm mates silently dragged the two away from that. "Just pretend, you didn't see anything." He whispered to them and entered one door to which they did not know who belongs to. Only then, Yulian had realized that most students coming in when they saw them would either turn back to where they came from or would randomly enter a door. Some brave souls or just plain naive had walked past them while whispering with each other, gazes secretly directed at them. Clothes in a mess (due to their dragging here and there) and leaves on hair. They wondered what these two had been up to? He had long released the prince from his hold, so does his. He cleared his throat. " Let's go to your room." Alex agreed and they left the second floor to return peace to its residents. Though a random student that had been near having heard Yulian. He was rooted in amazement. That peasant boy had the guts to invite himself to the prince's room! And the prince! He's like a puppy following his master's order! Oh, what sinful thoughts he had. Better keep this to himself if he wants to live longer. In Alex's room, his dinner was added with Yulian's as per his order had already been prepared by his attendants. Those attendants would only show when he ordered them to he needed something, then they would retreat to their own where he cannot see them. It was for him to experience being a normal student though his brother interfered with his plan and made sure he has all the privileges that a normal student had not. But for the first time, he was thankful for that meddling brother of his. A table had been prepared beside the floor to ceiling window, its curtains drawn revealing the vast forest of the academy. On the table, two sets of meals had been set up with some sweets on the side. The two ate with a silent agreement on not mentioning the incident before. They had small talks on almost everything except that. Yulian was finding an opportunity to inquire about the marquis and quite possibly his target connections to the noble. "So... The marquis, do you know him personally?" He started while fiddling with his fork to appear casual. Alex paused at drinking his water and like Yulian can read his mind that seemed to say 'So, you are afraid of him.' He held it the feeling of wanting to argue again. If this was the price of getting information, then fine. He will let him think what he wants. "I only saw the marquis and his family on occasions whenever there's a gathering at the palace. Why do you want to know?" "Well, there might be a chance that I might encounter him or moha- Clayton in the future, and it is better that I know something about them It might protect me in the future." Perceiving the point in his words, Alex began his tale of the marquis. "All I know was that the marquis was a knight but due to his exemplary skills and loyalty for the current king, he was bestowed a title and lands for his alone." "And what about his..." Yulian leaned forward and whispered. "dirty secrets or any scandals." "As I said the marquis was an outstanding Knight and even more so today. Probably the only flaw he has is his only son. He indulged Clayton's every whim making him tyrannical." He can never be sure. Why that man was a servant of the marquis? Was he also a follower of Calis? He has to start his queries from the top and start with the marquis. "What are you thinking so deeply about it? Let me handle the Stewarts and you finish your food. " Alex cut him from his thoughts. A large chunk of meat came to his view. He opened his mouth to accept the offered food. Now that it came to this, he'll have to fully utilize this big shot in front of him since Alex already had offered himself.
