We were all startled when he suddenly stood up. "Excuse me, I have something to do in my study room. If you need anything else, I'll be right there, and we can discuss it."
"Son," his father called out to him. However, Augustus turned his back on us, and we watched him climb the stairs. We heard the loud slam of the door reverberate through the hallways and the second floor.
