Eventually, I just fell asleep after he said those words. I didn’t dwell on it too much and pushed it out of my mind. The next morning, I woke up when I felt him move beside me, as if he had just woken up. I let it go since I was still sleepy. However, I heard the curtains being opened and felt his presence near the edge of the bed beside me.
"Good morning."
I felt something soft and warm press against my forehead, and that’s when I realized he kissed me. I slowly opened my eyes, though my vision was still blurry. However, I knew it was him standing in front of me. His silhouette stood before me, seemingly watching my face.
"I'll just go downstairs and cook breakfast. Okay? Just rest for now."
He stood up before I could say anything, and the door closed. I let myself drift back to slee
