Several days had passed, and what I’m feeling keeps getting worse. I thought I would be okay. I thought everything would go back to normal, the way it should be. But there are times when it just gets worse—my nausea, my food cravings, and my vomiting.
Even though I know Augustus is getting suspicious because he keeps asking me what's going on, even I have no idea. He has been telling me that I need to get a check-up. But still, despite his urging me several times, I’ve been stubborn. I don't know why, but I keep refusing.
It’s gotten to the point where I have to hide my nausea from him, where I have to pretend I’m okay—that I’m not dizzy, my head doesn’t hurt, I’m not having cramps, and that I don’t feel any swelling in my breasts. I’m pretending everything is fine and normal.
