{Martha's POV} "Thank you," I said to Rachel before shutting the restroom door. I clicked the lock and took a deep breath, exhaling softly in an attempt to calm the storm of tension within me. I wanted to scream, to release the frustration threatening to consume me, but I couldn’t risk Rachel hearing me if she was still by the door. Instead, I found myself staring at the mirror, my reflection meeting my gaze. I tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear and whispered to myself, “You have to make him sign those documents back to you. You have to make him pay.” My own determination stared back at me.
