Lexi’s POV
It was nearly lunchtime and I was debating whether or not to go down to the dining room to get myself a sandwich. Connor and I hadn’t had a chance to speak again after greeting the guests at last night’s dinner, and he had been busy with work from his dad this morning, so I had slept in and then spent a while in the gym to pass the time. I didn’t know when he would be back, but I was anxious to hear what he had to say.
I was surprised when Colton appeared in my doorway instead, considering how little I’d seen of him since coming to Black Moon. He closed the door behind him.
"Lexi, today's about to get real bad. I don't suppose to want to go back to Blue River today, before anything dangerous happens, do you?" he asked.
