While we were waiting for the DPO, I was trying to understand the type of relationship Frederick and Gregory share.
Ever since I met Frederick, I have been working super hard to make sure he is happy and suitable with his mate. we have always shared this idea of being together without any interruption.
"Maybe he has seen another woman who is more beautiful than I am"
Even at that, Frederick was supposed to let me know before acting weird, should I believe this or confront him face to face since he doesn't pick up my calls again?
"I can't believe this, no I guess Gregory has a hidden agenda against me but I gonna find out"
"Annabelle, what about your parents, sorry I was not opportune to ask you all this while "
Madam Elizabeth beseeched.
"Well ma, my parents died five years ago in a ghastly car accident"
I responded weeping.

"I don't have siblings ma"

The officer replied, smiling.
My heart started smudging as if I was guilty of the case we were about to present.

I narrated the ordeal to him while he was busy putting it into writing.
I was so sensitive not to make a single oversight as I have been hearing the implications that follow it.
"Okay madam, I have heard her, first thing tomorrow morning, I and my men will be at your doorstep for this hoodlum to be apprehended"
He said, gazing at our faces.

I responded, smiling.
"We will take our leave now"

The Officer said while bidding us goodbye.
As we were driving, I broke the silence by acknowledging her kindness towards my feet.
"I am grateful ma, you acted as if I am your daughter"
"Oh, don't mention Annabelle, you deserve justice"

"less I forget, try to be available as early as possible tomorrow morning for you to lead us for the arrest"

I alighted from her car while she zoomed off.
Throughout that night, I wasn't comfortable, I had several thoughts on my mind that nearly led to madness if not for God's intervention.
At first, "I thought I was loved without knowing that I was into gambling of my heart"
"Maybe I am no longer a woman to Frederick because if I am he wouldn't have thought of visiting New York City without my knowledge"
I grumbled.
The other day, I saw him with a lady, though the lady looked familiar because I saw them from aloof and I was unable to recognize her.
This is someone I have been working day and night to make sure I put food on his table since he is financially handicapped.
But what did I get in return, "betrayal "
I said, weeping.
"My heart is in ruins"
I muttered.
"I wonder if Gregory and Frederick planned this to humiliate me and cause harm to my success but till tomorrow before I conclude"
I stayed awake throughout the night, grumbling, crying, and ruining various reflections.
Before I could know what was happening, my phone rang, hey, it is Madam Elizabeth.
I was surprised, I thought it was still night time but little did I know I was carried away by my thoughts.
"Good morning madam"

"It was fine ma and you"

"The officers are here already "
I jumped in awe, "ok….yes…ma"
I became frightened.

I responded meekly.
"I will be waiting for you at the gate, ma"

I wonder why I am always frightened as if this is not true?
"Maybe this will not favor me"

I screamed, running in their direction.

It was a thirty-minute drive, as I was busy thinking of how and what would be the consequences if it finally turned against me.
We nearly bye-pass his arena if not for the familiar face I saw.

Madam, "I am surprised because I don't know what my manager is doing at Gregory's entrance this early morning"

Officer, "Let's go inside that place, she said it's here"

Immediately we entered inside, I was surprised by what I saw.
