I feel bouncy the next morning: bouncy when I get out of bed, as I walk through the house, as I make us both breakfast and drive us to work. Today I am in love with that two-letter word: us. I have the same thrill over the word ‘we.’ I got to use it when I suggested that ‘we’ have dinner together before he left last night. And again, when I offered to let him stay over and thought maybe ‘we’ could share my bed. It feels so good on my tongue and it sounds positively righteous echoing through my mind.
