END-OF-BOOK STUFF
I can’t remember when I drafted this book, but it was either at the end of 2017 or the beginning of 2018. Fast forward through the editing process, and just before release date, there’s possibly the biggest diplomatic scandal of all time—the murder of Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi Arabian embassy. Back when I first penned the story, I wondered if the concept of a diplomat being such a murderous little s**t was a bit farfetched, but I guess it wasn’t. Sometimes, life imitates art in the worst possible way.
