Scene: Maxwell Mansion – The Confrontation
The tension in the grand Maxwell living room was palpable. Nathan stood in front of his parents, his face set with determination. His parents, as always, sat in their regal positions, their expressions cold and unyielding. The years of family expectations hung heavy in the air, and Nathan’s words would break through it all.
“Nathan, this is foolishness,” his father, Mr. Maxwell, began, his voice laced with frustration. “You’ve had every privilege we could give you. You have the world at your feet. And yet, you want to throw it all away for... her?”
Nathan’s jaw tightened. “I don’t care about the family legacy. I don’t care about the fortune or the business. I don’t care about the title or the name. I only care about Isabella.”
Mrs. Maxwell let out a sharp, disbelieving laugh. “Isabella? The woman who has no family fortune, no standing, no business connections? Do you really think she’s the right choice for you?”
Nathan’s eyes burned with defiance. “Yes, I do. I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life. I want to marry her. I want to build my life with her—without the pressure, without the expectations, without your approval.”
“You’re being ridiculous, Nathan,” Mr. Maxwell growled, his voice thick with anger. “If you are not going to marry Alina, then you’ll marry someone of equal standing. Someone who understands the importance of this family.”
Mrs. Maxwell nodded in agreement, her tone chilling. “You will marry someone with the reputation, the wealth, and the title that matches ours. Not her.”
Nathan shook his head, his fists clenching by his sides. “You’re not listening to me. I don’t care about any of that. If marrying her means I lose everything, then so be it.”
His parents exchanged a sharp look. “What are you saying?” his father asked, his voice low with disbelief.
Nathan stood tall, his decision final. “I’m saying I will forfeit everything. I’ll give up my birthright. I’ll leave the company to Raymond. I’ll leave this family, if that’s what it takes to be with her.”
Mrs. Maxwell’s face turned pale with shock, and for a moment, the silence between them was deafening. “You can’t be serious,” she whispered. “You would throw away everything we’ve worked for... for a woman who doesn’t even belong in our world?”
Nathan’s eyes never wavered. “I am serious. If being with Isabella means I have to give up my name, my fortune, and my legacy—then I will.”
His father stood up, his voice rising with anger. “You are a fool, Nathan. You’re throwing away everything we’ve built. You’ll regret this decision, mark my words.”
Nathan didn’t flinch. “I’ve made my decision. I’ll leave. I’ll walk away from all of this if I have to. I’ll never marry someone just because it’s expected of me. I will marry who I choose. And that person is Isabella.”
There was a long silence, the weight of his words hanging heavy in the air. His parents stood there, stunned into silence. They had never expected Nathan to be this resolute.
Finally, Mr. Maxwell spoke, his voice quieter but still full of warning. “You’ll destroy everything, Nathan. You’ll lose more than just the company. You’ll lose your place in this family.”
Nathan met his father’s gaze, unflinching. “I’ll lose everything, but I won’t lose her. I’ll walk away from the company, the fortune, and the name, but I won’t walk away from Isabella.”
With that, he turned and walked out of the room, his heart pounding, his mind clear. He had made his choice. No matter what happened next, nothing would change his mind.
As he left the mansion, the weight of his decision settled on his shoulders. But for the first time in years, he felt free.

Scene: Later that Night – At Isabella’s Apartment
Isabella sat on the couch, her mind racing as she went over the events of the day. She knew Nathan had been facing pressure from his family, but she hadn’t expected him to go this far. Just as she began to reflect, her phone buzzed.
It was Nathan.
Her heart skipped a beat as she answered the call. “Nathan?”
“I’m leaving the family,” his voice was filled with both resolve and emotion. “I’m giving up my birthright. I’m going to be with you. No matter what.”
Isabella’s breath caught in her throat, overwhelmed by his words. “What do you mean? Nathan, you can’t—”
“I can,” he interrupted softly. “I’ve made my decision. I love you. I don’t care what I lose in the process. I want to be with you.”
Tears sprang to Isabella’s eyes as she processed his words. She never imagined he would make such a sacrifice, but here he was, proving his love for her in the most unimaginable way.
“Nathan…” Her voice cracked. “I don’t want you to give up everything for me. I can’t ask you to do that.”
“You don’t have to ask,” he said firmly. “It’s my choice. I’m doing this because I love you. And nothing will ever change that.”
Isabella wiped away the tears that had begun to fall, feeling both overwhelmed and humbled by his declaration.

Nathan’s choice to give up everything for love was bold, and it signified a new chapter for both of them. As they both navigated the challenges ahead, they knew they would face them together—no matter what their pasts had in store.
