Scene: A Quiet Evening at Isabella's House Mercy paced back and forth, her heart heavy with the guilt of what she was about to do. She had promised herself that she wouldn’t be involved in any more of Mr. Roland’s dirty dealings, but the threats to her family still loomed large. As much as she hated it, she had to comply. It was her only choice. When the phone call came, she took a deep breath, knowing she had to feed them something. They were expecting her to reveal something major—something that would break Nathan and Isabella once and for all. --- Scene: A Private Meeting at Mr. Roland's Mansion Raymond, Mrs. Roland, Angela, and Alina sat in a private room, discussing their next moves. The tension in the air was palpable as they waited for Mercy to arrive. “Mercy better deliver. We can’t afford to lose now,” Raymond sneered, pouring himself another drink. Mrs. Roland glanced at the clock. “She will. She has no choice.” Angela nodded. “She knows where her loyalty lies. It’s just a matter of time before she gets the information we need to finish off Isabella and Nathan.” When Mercy arrived, she didn’t speak right away. Her eyes darted nervously between them, her hands trembling as she sat down. She had always been loyal to Mr. Roland, but now, everything felt wrong. The weight of her past decisions bore down on her shoulders, and the memory of Isabella’s kindness haunted her. “You’ve got something for us, Mercy?” Mrs. Roland asked coldly. Mercy hesitated. “I... I have information that will shake things up. Something big.” Raymond leaned forward, intrigued. “Spill it, then. We don’t have time to wait.” Mercy exhaled slowly and pulled out a folder. She opened it, revealing documents and screenshots from Nathan’s financial dealings. “I’ve been feeding Isabella false reports on Nathan’s business transactions. I made sure to plant some inconsistencies that would cause her to doubt him. If things go as planned, she’ll believe Nathan is hiding something. It’ll make him lose her trust.” “Good,” Mrs. Roland said, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction. “That’s exactly what we need.” But before Mercy could leave, there was a moment of silence. Her conscience gnawed at her, and the guilt crept up. “I... I didn’t tell you everything.” They all turned their eyes to her, and she took a deep breath. “I couldn’t go through with it. There’s something I didn’t report. There’s something bigger happening, something none of you know about.” Raymond raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean?” Mercy hesitated, but then the words came spilling out. “Mr. Roland has been secretly investing in Maxwell Enterprises. He’s been slowly taking control, building a stake in the company while you’re all focused on Nathan and Isabella.” Mrs. Roland’s face twisted in shock. “That’s impossible. What do you mean ‘taking control’?” Mercy’s voice dropped to a whisper. “He’s been maneuvering behind the scenes, making sure he gets the upper hand. He’s been undermining both Nathan and Raymond, playing both sides. But he’s planning something much bigger. His true goal is to take over the company—both Marcus Enterprises and Maxwell Enterprises.” A heavy silence filled the room. Raymond stood, his face a mixture of rage and disbelief. “You’re telling me Mr. Roland’s been playing me this whole time?” Mercy nodded slowly, tears welling in her eyes. “I’m sorry. But I can’t be part of this anymore. He’s using all of you.” Raymond stormed out of the room, furious. Mrs. Roland, Angela, and Alina exchanged worried glances, realizing that they had been pawns in a much bigger game than they had realized. --- Scene: Nathan and Isabella's House Meanwhile, Nathan and Isabella had been discussing their next steps when they received an anonymous tip—an encrypted message with files from Mercy, revealing Mr. Roland's manipulation and his true intentions to take over both companies. Isabella’s eyes widened as she read through the documents. “This changes everything.” Nathan clenched his fists, the weight of the betrayal sinking in. “It’s worse than I thought. Mr. Roland’s been working behind the scenes to ruin us from the very beginning.” Isabella looked at him, determined. “We have to act fast. We can’t let him get away with this. He’s been manipulating everyone.” Nathan nodded, feeling the intensity of the situation. “We need to expose him. Once and for all.” With this new revelation, the stakes were higher than ever. What started as a battle for love and power had now turned into a dangerous game of betrayal, and Nathan and Isabella were ready to fight back—not just for their love, but for the future of everything they had worked for.
