Scene: Mercy's Warning and Isabella's Refusal
Mercy sat across from Isabella, holding an envelope in her hands. The tension in the room was palpable as she reluctantly handed it to Isabella. "I’ve received some information about Alina’s birthday party. It’s not just a celebration—it’s a trap."
Isabella, who had been staring out of the window, turned her gaze slowly to Mercy, her face unreadable. "What do you mean, a trap?"
Mercy leaned forward, lowering her voice. "The invitation has been strategically timed. Alina knows that you’re the key player in Nathan’s life. This party isn’t about celebrating her birthday—it’s about humiliating you. She’ll use it to paint you in a bad light, to ruin your reputation further in front of everyone who matters. She’s trying to make you look like the villain in all this."
Isabella clenched her fists, the weight of it all settling in her chest. "I won’t go. I won’t give them the satisfaction. They want to see me fall, and I won’t give them the chance."
Mercy sighed, knowing how stubborn Isabella could be, especially when she was hurt. "But, Isabella, you have to think about the bigger picture. If you don’t go, it will look like you’re avoiding them. It will look like you’re guilty, like you’ve got something to hide. You have to show them you’re not afraid, that they can’t control you."
Isabella sat in silence for a moment, the internal battle playing out in her eyes. She had already suffered so much because of these people—because of Alina and Angela. But Mercy was right. If she didn’t show up, it would only make things worse.
Finally, Isabella stood, her decision made. "I won't go they won't get the chance to ruin the reputation I sweat to build ."

Scene: News Flash – Alina’s Birthday Party Announcement
Later that day, as Isabella was preparing to go through the day’s meetings, the TV in the background caught her attention. The news anchor’s voice filled the room, and she froze in place.
"Breaking news! Heiress Alina Harrington has officially announced her lavish birthday party, and in a shocking twist, the invite list includes none other than Isabella Marcus—her love rival and the woman at the center of the Maxwell family’s recent scandal. The world is watching, and all eyes are on Isabella as she faces the media and public attention once again. Will she show up, or will she refuse the invite? The drama continues."
Isabella’s eyes narrowed at the TV screen, her heart racing. It was happening. Her name was being dragged into the limelight once more, and now she had no choice. She couldn’t back down. Not now.
Mercy was right. If she stayed home, they would spin it against her. If she went, she would be walking into the lion’s den—but it was a chance to show them that she wasn’t afraid.
Isabella stood still for a moment, staring at the TV in silence. Her phone buzzed on the table, and she knew it was Mercy checking in.
Taking a deep breath, Isabella picked up the phone and answered. "I’ll go, Mercy. I don’t have a choice. The media is already on it. If I don’t show up, it will look like I’m guilty of something I’m not. I’ll face them head-on."
Mercy sighed in relief. "Good. You’re doing the right thing. But be careful, Isabella. Alina and Angela won’t go easy on you."
Isabella nodded, a cold resolve in her voice. "I know. But I’m done running. I’ll deal with them on my terms."
As she ended the call, Isabella walked over to the mirror and stared at her reflection. She wasn’t just fighting for herself anymore. She was fighting for everything her father had built, for her family’s legacy, and for the love she had with Nathan. She couldn’t let anyone tear that down.
