Suddenly, as the tension reached its peak in that dimly lit hut, I could hear Elena's voice cutting through the air like a clarion call. Her voice was firm and resolute as she said, "Let her go."
The leader of the guards, his knife still menacingly pressed against the old woman's throat, turned his head towards her voice. His eyes widened with surprise as he saw Elena stepping out of the shadows, her presence commanding attention.
She continued, "I'm here. You have what you wanted. Let her go, and we can talk."
