Feeling a growing sense of unease, I decided to set aside my thoughts about the locket and focus on what mattered most at the moment: Aaron's safety. I reached out to him through the mindlink. I closed my eyes and focused, sending my thoughts and emotions out to him, hoping he would hear me.
"Aaron, are you there? Please let me know that you're safe."
I waited anxiously, my heart pounding as I hoped for a response. The moments stretched on, and just as doubt began to creep in, a familiar voice echoed in my mind.
