Dylan - The hangover

395 Words
Waking up, my head is throbbing! The room is still mostly dark thanks the the thick blinds covering the windows, except for the small rays of sunlight peaking through the gaps. I'm in my room but everything is spinning. I must be still drunk. How much did I even drink? I don't even know what time it is. My phone is dead flat and no help. And then her face appears in my mind. Her lips. Her eyes. Her smile. Damn. I remember the way her body felt against mine. The taste of her tongue as it searched my mouth.  Holy s**t, I'm hard again.  Her older sister came not long after she kissed me and practically dragged her very drunk sibling from my lap, while hurling obscenities towards her and the rest of the room for allowing her to get this hammered.  Sensing my dismay, a very drunk Simon gave me a pill as a pick me up. I don't remember much at all after that. I stagger out of bed and make my way down to the communal kitchen in search of much needed coffee. I see another dude doing the same and pinch a smoke off him. I really need to get a job or something, I'm so tired of relying on other people for favours.  A few days pass with me just hangin' around the house most of the time, occasionally venturing out in search of food and to look around town with Kenny. It's a decent sized country town settled right next to the river. The days are warm and sunny but the nights are getting cooler thanks to the autumn weather. I think about her regularly. Every time I see a girl with long brown hair, I stare a little too long to see if I can recognise her face.  Kenny has been talking to Ashley still and they're planning on catching up again. I know over the years he and Sammy have been on and off again for years and guess this is just part of their cycle.  "Haha comin for a detour, Dyl pickle?"  "Where to?" "Ashley says it's lunchtime at the college. Wants to catch up." the smug bastard responds with that stupid look on his face again. "Yeah righto, but if Sammy finds out I'm not saving you." And maybe she will be there too.
