Finding Love

Chapter 6

Erick was shocked, he knew it was not his. “I want an abortion; I didn’t want this life for myself. This baby was supposed to be yours.” “I understand, this wasn’t exactly in my plans either, Alex. Of course, you are having so much s*x with my best friend was never in my plans. We will have Stacey give you the abortion.” I was always crying, this time I had felt emptiness in my soul. There was nothing I wanted more than Erick to hold me like he used too. I really was in love with him. “Erick?” He sighed. “Yes, Alex?” “Marry me, let us make this relationship right. The way it was supposed to be. I am terribly sorry for hurting you, I should have never listened to my father.” “Wait, back up a second, father?” “Oh yeah, the boss who had shown me what I am, he is my birth father.” Erick was shocked, his soon to be father-in-law, betrayed him. “I will have a talk with him, I want nothing to do with him, but I will marry you, and I will bare your children, Erick. I love you more than words can put.” Erick gave me a warm hug, like he used too. He showed me mercy. I kissed his cheek to reassure him I did love him. “Alex, this is my fault, I should have stayed with you. I never knew that you were so lonely. I was trying to work to pay for the wedding, I feel terrible.” “Erick, we both have made past mistakes, let us forget this and restart.” “I would love that, and yes I will marry you.” We walked to the hospital to meet up with Stacey. “Hey, if it isn’t the love birds. How can I help you today?” “Hey Stacey, we need a huge favor. Alex is pregnant, she needs an abortion. The father is Dylan, and we did not plan for this.” I sat in the corner ashamed of myself. “I see, come on Alex, we must start if we plan to finish this tonight.” It was just her and I alone in the room. Erick had to make a phone call to the Middle East, he must check in on his troops out there. “So, how long have you been screwing Dylan?” “Almost a year, I kind of asked for this. I thought I was in love with him, but my heart lies with Erick.” She laughed. “Girl, you need to make your mind up, before someone else sweeps Erick off of his feet.” “I know you like him too. Erick took my virginity; he is special to me.” “Well keep it that way, if he gets hurt again, I will kill you.” I didn’t know she loved him that much, I should have listened to my own heart.

            A few hours had passed by, Stacey and I sat in silence. We both loved the same man, but only one of us would get him. I knew once this baby was out of me, I would have a chat with my father. It was time I had ended this war, once and for all. Erick walked in to check on me. “How are you?” I am sore, nothing compared to living without you though.” He smiled, the more I interacted the happier we both were. He traveled the oceans for me as he vowed to do before. Nothing, or Stacey, would come between that. I made a simple mistake. Erick has already forgiven me. It was finally time to finish my wedding planning. I have never been in love before, I had a moment of panic. Everything was going to be okay. We finished at the hospital. I was advised not to have s*x for a few days. I had stitches from the abortion, and yes, I was sore. Erick and I had made it home, it was now just the two of us. Dylan signed into a rehab facility. I no longer had interest for him; he had gotten me to do drugs and then roofied me so he could run a train on me. I hated him, I hated him so much it killed me.

            “You know, if you ever need to talk Alex, I am here for you.” “I just don’t understand why my father would try this. I knew I was in love with you, so why did I do all of those things with Dylan?” “I don’t know, father’s approval or something?” “Yeah, that was probably it. Erick, I am so f*****g sorry I hurt you.” Oh, great. The water works again. “I love you so deeply. Hurting you has put an empty spot in my heart.” “Shh, I have you now Alex. We will work through this; I know we can. You are my soul mate after all.” He grabbed my hand and kissed my knuckles. He always knew the words to say when I was upset. He made me feel so good inside. I was ready to marry him. We laid in the bed, he held me all night like he used too. I felt safe.

            The next morning, he was still holding me. I needed to go to the abandoned and talk to my father. “Hey sunshine, are you feeling okay?” “Yeah, I need to talk to my father about the mess he made.” “I can come with you if you would like.” “As long as you do not shoot him.” “I will try my best.” We got dressed and headed to the center. I saw Jim standing a few feet from us. “Alex, what is it?” “Because of father’s indiscretion’s I was almost killed. Dylan ran a long train on me while I was drugged up and stupid. I knew better than to try and mess with Dylan, so we are going to talk to him.” Jim looked at me like I was a hurt puppy, he was in on the whole idea of Dylan. He led us back to the center where my father stayed. Erick and I went inside and saw him messing with some machine. “Father, we need to talk now!” I was stern so he knew I was no longer playing his games of deceit. “What is it? And who is this? You brought a human here?” “This ‘human’ is my fiancée, not the one who tried to kill me after r****g me and drugging me.” He looked confused. “Hi, sir, I am Erick. I stopped the attacks on your kind so we can live in peace together. I have come to ask for your daughters’ hand in marriage. I love her with all of my heart, I would do anything to keep her safe from all harm.” “What happened with Dylan?” “Daddy, he tried to kill me, he is not the one I am in love with. Stop with these love games and let me be happy with Erick. My heart lies with him.” Erick was blushing. He must have felt embarrassed that I told my father about us being together. “In a few days I plan to marry Erick, I don’t even care if we elope. I want him as my husband.”

            My father looked stunned. He saw the effect a normal human had on me. “Why don’t we go to my home planet, you can have your wedding there. It will be small, and no one here will have any way to stop you from what you so desire.” I looked at Erick, he was in shock, we both have never left this planet. “Babe, it would be a good idea. Since this planet is under the contract of his home planet we would also be married here as well. What do you say?” “I am just an army guy with dreams of marrying my queen, of course we can do what you please to do.” “It is settled, let’s be on our way then.” Erick and I had buckled in. He held my hand, and I kissed his. We were perfect for each other. This was also the best way to be his wife. I can meet my real family. “Daughter, you must show your true self during the peak of the wedding, if Erick is really the one for you he will kiss you as an alien.” I did not know if Erick would be up to this task. He looked frighted. “I will do anything to marry you Alex. Even if I must kiss you in another form, it will still be you.” “Erick, I will say this. She is a siren as well as alien, she will look like a pure angel to you. That is why she made such a beautiful human.”

            Erick looked like he could stroke out any second, he was in shock. I was ready to see my true self. I could only imagine how beautiful I really am. I was also ready to meet my real family. I always thought it was mother and me, she had died in a crash right after I was born so I never had a real family who loved me like she did. Time was warped in space. I could no longer see the earth. It was nothing but gas planets and more stars. I held his hand; he was looking better as the idea of being his wife got closer. “Holy s**t, I am getting married to a siren. She is also an alien. I love you Alex, this is simply different. Not what I had imagined as a man in the army.” “I am sorry to drag you into this mess, I never imagined it myself. I always imagined I would be a queen someday though, never an alien who was a siren.” “Well to be frank with you both, Alex you are a princess, and Erick, when I die, will be a king by his queen.” We both looked at him shocked as one can be expected. I would be a queen of this new world? With no humans? “Wow, okay. My fairy tale has come true.” “As did mine, my queen.” Erick kissed my cheek and we both blushed. My father never saw anyone so in love before. “Your mother and I shared the same connection, but his is stronger than your mothers was. I am glad you have found each other.”

            What seemed like hours passed by. We finally had arrived to the planet MacroDew. I finally met my true family. There was my aunt Kelly, she was sweet. She adored the fact that my fiancée was human. There was Luna, she was a grouch. She was my sister. She, too, was like me. Half human, half siren. She normally was in her main form of the siren. She hated the humans after what happened to mother. She likes to blame her death on me. There was Andrew, my brother, he was nice. He didn’t like humans either. He at least could tolerate Erick for his service. Then there was Anna, she was another aunt. She was a huntress. I had no clue what that was. Here on MacroDew everyone was categorized, like I was a siren. We each had a special power. I was able to sire any man that came my way. That is why Dylan and Erick would cling to my side. I learned that I could also heal people and I could use my mind to do what ever I pleased.

            “Come deary, your dress is waiting to be fitted.” Aunt Kelly led me to a room off to the side. “Come, I will show you to your uniform. As a human soldier you get a free pass on those hideous things you call tuxedos.” I bet Erick was pleased with that one. My dress was stunning. It was a white dress; it was skintight with diamonds covering the top. “Now dear, you need to switch into your main form. All you need to do is embrace it. Think of how beautiful you choose to look. You can choose what you always look like. Come now, try it on for size.” I did exactly as she told me. I imagined myself with long jet-black hair, I wanted it to shine with the sun. My eyes would be a sparkling blue. My waist would be curvy but small. My breast would be bigger. I would have legs for days. In that moment, I could feel myself lift away from the ground. I became the person I had imaged. I was irresistible, beautiful, and stunning.

            “Absolutely gorgeous dear. He won’t be able to keep his hands away from you.” She put the dress over me, and it fit so perfect. There was no need to fit it to my body at all. I felt sorry for Erick, he had to be measured and poked at. “Aunt Kelly? Can you find me a dress that would fit me, I think Erick should see the real me.” “No ma’am, he needs to see this form of you during the ceremony. He needs to understand to love the real you. He doesn’t have the chance to see you and warm up to you. That is why you were given a second identity. I wish your sister would have done the same. She will come around soon, now that you have a human husband, she will see the happiness he brings to your life.” “Okay, when is the ceremony going to be?” “Tonight deary, at the stroke of midnight, it will be your birthday.”

            We had finished the fitting, now I could spend time with Erick. I know I can’t mention my true self to him, but the thought of his reaction was enticing. I wish we could stay here. Everything was so beautiful, like a dream. The sun was yellow, and the trees were glowing with purity. This would be the perfect place to raise our family one day. There he was, Erick was glowing with happiness. What ever Andrew did, seemed to calm his nerves. “Hello sunshine. How was your fitting?” “Nope, we can not talk about it. Kelly would have my head.” “Good point.” “Erick? I was thinking.” “What is it sweetheart?” “When we start a family, we should move here. It is peaceful here. There is no such thing as a war. This would be perfect.” “I think that is a splendid idea, I love it here too. We could have our honeymoon here if you would like?” I nodded with approval and gave him a kiss. This was where I was always meant to be, this is my home. The sun was setting fast. We both needed to rest before the wedding. We snuck into the spare bedroom and cuddled for a few hours.

            “Lilly? I know you are just a maid, but have you any idea where the bride and groom are? The ceremony is about to begin.” “No Miss, I have no clue where they would have run off too.” I got up and ran to the door. “Sorry Aunt Kelly, we needed some rest before the wedding. We have both been awake for days.” “No worries, get him up and go to the dressing room.” “Erick, get the hell up. We almost missed our wedding.” “I would like some ice cream and pie, your honor.” “ERICK!!” “What I am up, what?” I laughed, was he in court ordering ice cream from a judge? “We almost missed our wedding, go find Andrew.” “Oh s**t, I am so sorry.” We got up and ran to our dressing rooms. Kelly was dressing me. “You missed rehearsals so you will have to wing it.” She handed me a stack of cards. As she was preparing me, I was reading. I had to sing him a song.  “Aunt Kelly? I can’t sing.” “Sure you can, you have never sung as a siren. Here practice on me, it shall not affect me because I am not the groom, and I am a female at that.” I sang the song the best I could, and Kelly loved the sweetness of my voice. I was now confident in my singing. After the song, I was sure to kiss my groom and we would be husband and wife.
