She was not sure because the days seemed to blend into each other. But during these days, she had been tortured relentlessly every day, and the only break that she had was when she had water forced down her throat. He had made it clear that he did not want to kill her. At least not yet. "Get up, mutt." She heard the voice call out from above her. She could not, even if she desperately wanted to. "Today is your lucky day. Today I am going to make sure that everything comes to an end." He said this to her, and she knew that it was the voice of the Alpha. She felt her body shudder coldly at the thought. She knew that she was going to die. She welcomed it, but what she feared was how much he would torment her before he finally put her out of her misery. She let out a shrill cry from her lips when she felt a tug on her silver cuffs. She hissed as it burned into her already pulsing wounds. She could feel her eyes water at the severity of her wounds. "I wanted to make it a spectacle so that the whole pack could see." He said this to her with a thick laugh. Her throat dried up, but she didn’t dare to look up. She heard him let out a low whistling tone as he pulled her to her feet, and she watched as the guards made their way into the room. "Bring her to the fire". The Alpha said to them, She felt her heart drop as she shook her head. "This is going to be fun," he said to her in a sickening tone as he made his way out. They slowly removed her cuffs as she felt her eyes water, and her body was lulled across the floor. She was pulled out of the dungeons and towards the pack grounds, and she could feel the hesitant gazes of the pack members. She tried to look toward them for help, but she knew that she wouldn’t get any.
In the distance, she noticed a stake that had planks of wood stacked around it. She felt her heart sink at the realization of what was about to happen to her. She was pulled onto the pole as her body was tied to it. Her arms and legs were tied against it as the guards pulled away from her. "Today we are going to witness the execution of the hybrid. The agent of the ancient darkness and the being that is responsible for the terrible murder of my son She had refused to confess to her crimes, but we all know that she is guilty. Today she will face the moon goddess". He spoke, and she watched as the crowd cheered and roared loudly. She knew that she should not have been surprised or even offended. This was bound to always be her fate. She was born so she would die, and she knew that in the end, there was no one who would truly and genuinely care for her. She watched as he smirked as he went over to the fire with a piece of wood, lighting it up before coming to stand before her. His smirk was bright against his features as he lit up the wooden planks below her. "Do not be sad. I am sure the darkness will welcome you." He said it to her sickeningly. Without warning, she watched as he dropped the plank, and instantly she was enveloped in pain. The fire seemed to surround her on all sides as she found herself struggling to breathe. She could hear the sound of their laughter as they cheered the flames on. She felt sick to her stomach, as she wanted it all to end. The moment the fire touched her flesh, she felt something inside of her snap. She let out a loud, venomous cry from her lips that shook the very ground they stood on. She watched as the flames pulled away from her and the people gasped. She felt the rope around her loosen as she let out the breath she had been keeping in. And to her sheer horror, she watched as the flames that had surrounded her only moments ago seemed to surround the pack members. Her eyes became blurry as she fell to the ground. … Rebecca pulled her eyes open to find the ground covered in a layer of soot and ash. Her hands were shaky, and she gasped, seeing their blackened tips. Her eyes watered as her lips wobbled, and she struggled to try and make sense of what was going on. The pack members lay on the floor, their figures badly charred, and she looked toward the plank on which she had stood and found that it had been reduced to ash. Her eyes watered as she began to connect the dots, and she was quick to come to the realization that this was her fault.
She had done this. She fell to her knees as a loud sob broke free from her lips. It was only then that she realized that they were right about her all along. She was a monster, and she had led to their destruction. She knew she could not stay here anymore. They would come for her soon enough. She had to go far away, to a place where they would not find her. Somewhere, she could not hurt any more people. She had done far too much already, and it was time for her to lay in the bed that she had made. She felt sick to her stomach at the very thought that she was the one who had destroyed them. All fifty lives were now resting on her shoulders. With one final look towards her people, she found herself turning towards the forest. "I am sorry," she whispered. But she was stopped in her spot when she heard a loud howl come from the trees. She was left frozen when she saw a large silver wolf. His red eyes bore into her own as she watched him shift into the most beautiful man she had ever seen. He had long silver hair and vibrant blue eyes as he bared his teeth at her and growled loudly. "Mate."
