I still can't accept what Jax said to me today. My mind drifted aimlessly and unfocused as my engagement ceremony took place. I still hadn't checked my safe storage, as Jax had requested to prove the truth of his words, and I still carried out my and Kay's engagement.
I don't know if this decision resulted from my own decision or my anger over Jax's rejection of the request to make me a vampire like him. I just wanted to teach him a lesson. However, the man seemed calm when he attended Kay and I's the engagement ceremony. I did not see a look of annoyance or anxiety on his face.
